About
Explore the Faith a little more!
The Littlemore Fellowship is a monthly gathering of Christian men living in Victoria, BC, Canada, and the surrounding area, who meet for approximately two hours in a member's home to share passages by and about Saint John Henry Newman, Doctor of the Church and by other orthodox writers belonging to the living English Patrimony, for discussion to help us better conform our lives to the will of God revealed in the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. Meetings conclude with Compline.

Littlemore | A History
From 1842 to 1846, John Henry Newman lived at The College at Littlemore, turning it into a peaceful retreat for prayer and study with a few close friends. It was there, on October 9, 1845, that Newman—renowned Anglican preacher, Fellow of Oriel College, and prominent leader of the Oxford Movement—was welcomed into full communion with the Catholic Church by Blessed Dominic Barberi, an Italian missionary priest.

Mission
God has created me to do Him some definite service. He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another. I have my mission. I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next. I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons. - St. John Henry Newman
We encounter the rich English liturgical, intellectual, and cultural patrimony which helps to form us as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ and prepares us to be more effective witnesses to the Holy Gospel. Mindful of our own need for continual conversion, we participate locally in the larger mission of the Universal Church - the salvation of souls.
In your hearts reverence Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to make a defense to any one who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence. - 1 Peter 3:15
